''They Chatted Briefly''

Kanye West claimed to have met up with former CIA director George Tenet on his new G.O.O.D. Music track, "Clique." And the hip hop superstar's claim is true. On the track, in which he rapped: "Yeah, I’m talking business, we talking CIA / I’m talking George Tenet, I seen him the other day / He asked me about my Maybach, think he had the same / Except mine tinted and his might have been rented.”

Tenet's spokesperson Bill Harlow recalled the two bumped into each other at a charity event.

“They bumped into each other,” Harlow said. “They chatted briefly. There was no discussion of Maybach. The next thing you know, it’s recorded history. I think it’s poetic license. [Hip Hop]’s not his genre. [Tenet]’s more of a Bruce Springsteen guy.”
