Frank Ocean Inspired By Pharrell, Jay-Z

Frank Ocean posted an open letter on Tumblr discussing many things, among them his having worked with luminaries such as Jay-Z and Pharrell recently. The singer/songwriter expressed his awe and respect for the two superstars, and he mused on what it meant to be where is in his career today.

"I SAD IN THE STUDIO DAYS AGO WITH JIGGAMAN AND PHARRELL," he wrote. "PHARRELL LOOKS 19. THEY SEEMED LIKE OLD FRIENDS. I WONDER HOW MANY TROPHIES ARE LODGED IN THEIR MINDS. I WONDER WHY THEY STILL BUILD. I BUILD THINGS FOR THE SPORT AND THE THERAPEUTIC BENEFITS. FOR IMMORTALITY B*****TCH. I SAY IMMORTALITY IN JEST, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW ONE THING FOR CERTAIN. HOLY F*CK, I DON'T WANT WANNA WRITE ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW."
