Few hip hop albums are as beloved, revered and acclaimed as Nas' classic debut LP Illmatic. The seminal 1994 release is about to be released by Get On Down Records. The label is well-known for re-releasing important hip-hop, jazz and funk records. Most of the releases are repackaged with unreleased music, artist liner notes and various promotional items.

Get On Down previously re-released Raekwon's 1995 classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx....

No official date for the album's re-release has been announced, and Get On Down has not divulged exactly what unreleased, rare or collectors' materials will be included with the project.
