Hip hop superstar Lil Wayne sparked quite a firestorm of controversy in New York City when he revealed in an interview months ago that he "hates" the Big Apple. For all of the furor it caused--even a New York senator denounced the rapper--Wayne himself says he wasn't even aware that there was any backlash.

And he doesn't seem to care.

"I have to be honest with you, dog: All I do is work, and I swear to God, I don't even know the reaction," Wayne told MTV News. "If I knew the reaction I'd know how to be able to answer that question, but I don't know the reaction. I just say what I want to say, do what I want to do and f--- who don't like it."
