Hip hop star Flavor Flav has been released from prison after being arrested and detained on charges fo domestic violence battery and assault with a deadly weapon. Earlier this week, Flav was involved in a violent dispute with his fiancee and her teenaged son, with reports that he pulled a butcher knife on the young man and battered the woman.
Reuters reports that Flav, born William Drayton, Jr., was released on $23,000 bail and will be appearing in a Las Vegas court next week.
Flav faces up to six years in prison if convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, and could face as much as six months if found guilty of domestic violence battery.
