When Game debuted the cover artwork for his upcoming album Jesus Piece, the reaction was mixed. Some of his fellow hip hop artists and fans praised his boldness, while others were understandably turned off by the imagery--which featured a depiction of Jesus wearing a gangster rag & gold chain.

Regardless, the West Coast rhymer stands by his vision in spite of the controversy.

"I did the album cover the way I wanted to," he told MTV. "It embodies part of my career, my life; it's all in that cover. And, you know, I love God, Jesus Christ is my savior and I'm still out here thuggin'."

The rapper also admitted that his faith hadn't led to him curbing his appetite for marijuana and strip clubs. "That's what I do," he said.
