Rapper & Rock Band To Ring In 2013 At Barclays

Hip hop superstar Jay-Z will be ringing in 2013 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. After opening the famed arena with a series of shows this past fall, Jay will now be bringing the new year in at the new home of the Nets. The arena announced that Jay and rock superstars Coldplay will co-headline the show.

Coldplay will also be performing a solo set the night before, which marks their first public shows in New York City since 2005.

"We're pleased to announce that, on Monday, Dec. 31, Coldplay will round off a memorable year by performing a very special co-headline show with Jay-Z at Barclays Center, Brooklyn. This will be the second time in two years that Coldplay has celebrated new year with long-term friend and collaborator Jay-Z, the band having shared the bill with him at a Las Vegas concert in 2010. More recently, Jay-Z performed onstage with Coldplay at the spectacular London 2012 Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony." read a statement about the festivities.
