Speaking to E! News, Nicki Minaj explained some of the more stressful facets of being a judge for popular singing contest show "American Idol." Citing the heavy workload and team dynamic, Minaj revealed that the job has been an adjustment for her.

“They're very long days," explained Nicki. "I’m not really used to having to show up somewhere at a specific time.”

“I kinda been my own boss for a few years, so this is like adding discipline back in my life. This is adding that strict regime of having to do something. Everybody’s affected by what I do.”
