Former Bad Boy rapper Ornette "G. Dep" Coleman may be serving fifteen years to life for murder, but he says he's found peace of mind. Coleman's manager, Jonathan "Kwame" Owusu, even acknowledged how surprised he was at Dep's demeanor when he entered prison.

"He's like, 'Hey, how you doing, man?'?" says Owusu regarding his first phone call with Dep. "He was upbeat. It didn't make any sense."

"I was happy," Coleman recalls. "It sounds crazy to say you were happy about getting a fifteen-to-life sentence, but I was. It just seemed to me like the end of a nightmare ... I was living in 1993 for seventeen years."
