Rapper Owes the State of GA

Despite having a fairly successful 2012, Nas may not be earning as much money from his high-grossing tour this year as he might have expected. The State of Georgia is reportedly to garnish over a million dollars from his earnings to repay a massive tax debt.

TMZ is reporting that the Georgia Department of Revenue has filed to collect $1,083,435 from the rapper for taxes he reporteldy owes for the years 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010.

The state of Georgia is garnishing his wages from his Live Nation-promoted tour with Lauryn Hill to pay off the debt. The rapper's people claim that the matter has been resolved, despite the GDR's claims. Nas also reportedly owes millions in federal taxes.
