Superproducer To Be Named Sony VP of A&R

Superproducer Salaam Remi is expected to be named executive VP of A&R/Production with Sony Music Entertainment. Sources are claiming that Remi will work across every Sony label/imprint in his new position.

Remi's most recent smash is Alicia Keys' hit song "Girl On Fire" and is best known as being a longtime producer for legendary hip hop emcee Nas.

He's worked with Miguel, Amy Winehouse, Jazmine Sullivan, the Fugees and numerous other notables. Remi also helmed film scores for Tyson and Sparkle. He has yet to comment publicly on the reports.
