Rapper Demanding Hostage Footage

Former Fugee Pras has filed a lawsuit against filmmaker Marshall Tyler, the director of a movie featuring Pras that reportedly reveals rapper being held hostage by Somali pirates. According to TMZ, Tyler was hired by Pras to direct "Paper Dreams" in 2009. The film covers the star's near-death experience with pirates in East Africa.

Pras claims in the suit that he invested $70,000 into the project to cover filming and travel costs. But Tyler allegedly now will not turn over the footage. Pras is suing for the footage or to recoup his money plus damages.

"Pras is trying to assert ownership on material that Marshall owns the copyright to," claims a rep for Tyler.
