After a string of bizarre incidents and embarrassing arrests, troubled comedian Katt Williams has announced his retirement. The latest misadventure occurred in Seattle, when Williams was arrested after allegedly getting into a bar fight with a family at the World Sports Grille.
"I'm just gonna go ahead and announce my retirement from stand-up," Williams said in an interview. "I'm kinda done. This is, yeah, I've already discussed it with my kids. I wasn't really gonna do it on a Seattle street, I was gonna go to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM or Live Nation."
Williams has been at the center of numerous bizarre episodes over the past few months. He was sued in October for reportedly hitting his former assistant with "a closed fist." Later that month, fellow comedic actor Faizon Love accused Williams of pulling a gun on him during an argument in a nightclub parking lot in Los Angeles. Williams was arrested in Oakland, California on charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly beating an 18 year-old in November; and led Sacramento police on a chase when he sped away from them on a motorized tricycle after they tried to arrest him for slapping an employee at Target.
