Singer-songwriter Ryan Leslie isn't allowing his ongoing laptop controversy to slow him down. Leslie was ordered to pay $1 million to a man who returned a laptop that was stolen from Leslie two years ago, despite the fact that Leslie says all of his music had been removed from it. Nonetheless, the star is working on new music that he says the legal struggle inspired his upcoming album, Black Mozart.
"Black Mozart starts at the moment that I walk out of the courthouse," he says, referring to the trial that took place in Manhattan federal court last week. "I wrote the entire album in the two days following the verdict, so the album is written and will be recorded in layers with the strings, horns and potentially a choir in the royal conservatory in Vienna, Austria, one of the homes of some of the most classical music ever written."
