In a recent interview with ThisIs50, Big Boi revealed that longtime Dungeon Family associate and frequently collaborator Cee-Lo Green was close to being a part of Outkast. Revealing that Green was close to he and his former rhyme partner Andre 3000 in their younger days, he shared that they were always together as teens.
"Yeah, kinda sorta. He was hanging out with us," Big Boi said.
"We go way back, so kinda. For a brief minute," he said of Cee-Lo's considering to join the famed duo. "Me and Dre was just together more. We would see Cee Lo sometimes but not all the time like that. Me and Dre was together day in, day out."
Cee-Lo, of course, rose to fame as a member of Goodie MOB, then as part of the acclaimed duo Gnarls Barkley, before becoming a solo superstar and judge of the hit show "The Voice." Big Boi's highly-anticipated second album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is set to be released this week.
