Public Enemy has been announced as one of the 2013 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The legendary political rap group will join Heart, Randy Newman, Rush, Albert King and Donna Summer in the Class of 2013. Also, Lou Adler and Quincy Jones will both be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers.
P.E. joins Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., and the Beastie Boys as the current hip hop acts inducted into the hall.
The induction ceremony will be held on April 18, 2013 at the Nokia Theater and will broadcast on HBO on May 18th.
