Rapper Fat Joe has pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion. Joe entered his plea on Thursday for failing to pay taxes on over $1 million in income from 2007 and 2008. The star, born Joseph Cartagena, appeared in court in New Jersey.
He was freed on $250,000 bail pending sentencing on April 3, 2013.
Joe could face up to two years in prison, a fine of $200,000, plus court costs of the prosecution.
He is also required to pay all taxes and penalties owed.
