The promoters who were held captive in Angola for 49 days back in 2010 due to rapper Nas failing to appear at a concert that New Year's Eve are filing suit against the hip hop star. New Jersey father-and-son team Patrick Allocco, Sr. and Patrick Allocco, Jr. are suing the rapper for $10 million in Manhattan federal court.
After the incident, Nas returned his $300,000 fee, but the Allocco's company eventually went bankrupt.
According to court documents, Nas attended a Lebron James New Year's party in Miami that year.
Allocco and his son were taken into custody and were not allowed to leave the country until the money was returned. Nas and opening act Jamiah Jai did eventually repay the fee.
