Young Money rapper Drake is firing back at a lawsuit filed by the W.i.P./Greenhouse that blames the infamous summer 2012 brawl between he and fellow star Chris Brown caused the nightspot loss in profits and damage to its reputation. Drake's legal team is arguing that the fight was only the latest in a string of incidents that led to the clubs being portrayed negatively in media.
Drake's representatives allege that W.i.P./Greenhouse was described as "having a history of violence and other problems" by the New York Times. It is also being reported that the club was close to being shut down a year ago by the NYPD.
It's liquor license was also previously suspended. Drake's lawyers are seeking the case's dismissal.
