Album Due To Be Released In April

Talib Kweli has pushed his Prisoner of Conscious album yet again. The project is now slated to be released on April 23rd. Kweli spoke about the album with Rolling Stone and revealed that several hip hop generations will be represented on the project, from relative-newcomer Kendrick Lamar, to 2000s superstar Nelly to veteran Busta Rhymes. He also is using live instrumentation.

Sadly, Kweli also revealed that there are no plans for Black Star to reunite on record any time soon.

The duo, Kweli and Mos Def (Yasiin Bey) performed a few dates two years ago, which led to speculation that a reunion was on the horizon.
