Nas revealed to the Associated Press that he has already begun work on the follow-up to 2012's critically-acclaimed Life Is Good. The famed Queens-born emcee shared that he's on a creative high and feels he's in the right place to continue recording material.
"Yes. It has started. I must tell you. I can’t stop now. I’m in a great zone," he said.
He also took time to praise West Coast rapper Kendrick Lamar for what he felt was one of the best albums of last year.
"No disrespect to nobody else in rap music, but Kendrick Lamar," he said when asked about his favorite music of 2012. "I’m really happy about his record. I needed that. His record reaches you. It gives you hope. ... Also, Meek Mill. His energy is amazing."
