Juelz Santana Needed A Break From Music

Juelz Santana revealed in an interview with Funkmaster Flex that he felt the 2010 Dipset reunion was too rushed. The rapper admitted that he was not inspired to create music and intentionally took a hiatus from the industry.

"Shout-out to Jim, shout-out to Cam. I'm not going to even lie, at the time, when we put out the Salute record, it was still at the time where I wasn't doing a lot of music, just, period," he admitted. "I wasn't back in the zone that I needed to be in, musically. Honestly. It's not even about that project. I had the same way like I took a break from everything. ... I wasn't really in my mojo to just sit down and just complete a Dipset project. We up with my man Flex, this is a new year. In order to get it right, we've got to make it all the way right. You dig what I'm saying? That's why I'm saying it is possible, because I know Cam is willing to do, I'm sure Jim is willing to do it. I've always been willing to do it, it's just about me getting my music mojo back."
