Rapper Slick Rick celebrated his birthday with a sold-out performance at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. "The Ruler" was joined by fans, friends and family--along with a full band backing him as he performed his classic tunes.

Video footage of Talib Kweli, Sway Calloway, Special Ed, Biz Markie, Chubb Rock, MC Lyte and more wishing Rick a happy birthday was played throughout the night.

“Last night was an incredible night for me as well as the Golden Era of Hip Hop. It is always great to see and perform for my fans, but to share my birthday with them at the Brooklyn Bowl was out of this world,” said Rick. “The highlight of the night was the Birthday shout out video from my peers. I was shocked and honored by all the kind words and stories about my career."
