Mac Miller and Lord Finesse have reportedly reached a settlement after Finesse filed a $10 million lawsuit over Miller using a sample of his 1995 song "Hip 2 Da Game" for Miller's "Kool Aid and Frozen Piece." HipHopDX reports that court documents indicate that a successful settlement conference for the case was conducted in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry B. Pitman for the Southern District of New York on December 6, 2012.
Per the terms of the conference, the terms and the amount agreed upon by the two parties are not disclosed to anyone other than Judge Harold Baer.
A settlement conference is a mandatory mediation attempt initiated by the trial judge. It was ordered by Judge Baer on September 21, 2012.
