Quentin Tarantino's slavery-meets-spaghetti-Western epic Django Unchained has been one of the most polarizing major motion pictures in recent history. Filmmaker Spike Lee announced a personal boycott, which led to other black celebrities taking sides on whether or not to praise or condemn the movie. Hip hop star Nas recently weighed in with his take on Django....

"I didn't see what the big fuss was about," Nas told MTV.

"It's a movie, movies by [Tarantino], why should we be surprised if the movie is raw?" he continued. "He's one of the greatest filmmakers of our generation, and we don't go there to see anything less than rawness. He's an artist, and artists have to express themselves."
