''I Was On Lean Very Heavy''

Rapper Mac Miller explained in a recent interview that his sensitivity over bad reviews and the grind of his 2012 Macadelic Tour both contributed to his becoming addicted to promethazine ("lean.")

"I love lean; it's great," Mac told Complex.

"I was not happy and I was on lean very heavy," he said about his mental state in 2012. "I was so f*cked up all the time it was bad. My friends couldn't even look at me the same. I was lost."

His childhood friend Jimmy was among the people that urged Miller to quit, which he has been able to do successfully.

"For how much he was drinking," says Jimmy, "it's unbelievable that he stopped. It's definitely one of the most impressive things he's ever done."
