Rev. Run and Tyrese paid a visit to The Breakfast Club to promote their new book, Man-Ology. During the interview, Run was asked about his sons JoJo and Diggy getting involved in hip-hop beefs and asked if they sought his permission before releasing diss tracks.

"Nah, they don't tell me nothin'," Run revealed. "I don't get in the middle of beefs but -- here's the bottom line. I don't get into the beefs but I don't mind my kids defending themselves. JoJo is minding his business and he just felt like he needed to say something. I have nothing to do with but he's like, 'Why y'all mad at me 'cause somebody said something about me? I'm handling my business. I just made a movie, I'm happy and I hear somebody say something about me so [I'll respond].' At the end of the day, you would do the same thing. [Charlamagne,] you do it all day. Somebody says something about you, you say it back."
