''I'm Writing Songs To Perform, To Entertain''

Rapper Mystikal has announced the release of his first album in 12 years. The project, called Original, is due in June. The veteran rhymer, who is now signed with Cash Money Records, told Rolling Stone that he's been working with former No Limit producer KLC of Beats By the Pound fame.

Among the guests reportedly working on the album are Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and Future.

"The sound that's prominent on the radio, and on hit records now, all that sound the same. I don't want all my hits to sound like that. I'm writing songs to perform, to entertain," he says. "And when I'm really trying to get inspired, I go backwards and I just rap."
