Police Chief In Chris Brown Case Resigns

Bryan Norwood, the Chief of the Richmond, VA Police Department that is at the center of a controversy involving R&B star Chris Brown's community service, has resigned. Norwood was accused of signing off on fraudulent community service hours documents for Brown.

Brown was ordered to complete community service as part of his probation for pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney has alleged in a report that Norwood certified community service hours that were never actually performed. According to TMZ, the Mayor of Richmond says that the chief's resignation was decided by "mutual agreement."
