''It's A Throwback To That Era''

G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Malik Yusef spoke recently about working with hip-hop superstar Kanye West. The two have collaborated frequently and Yusef discussed Kanye's work ethic and sometimes-intense tendencies. He also shared a little about West's upcoming album.

"He is a perfectionist, obviously. It's harsh," he said. "[West] says no to a hundred things."

"I can't talk too much about it. Just remember black music, the black experience. It's a throwback to that era," he told HitFlix. Yusef also stated that the project is "a distillation of what's happening in the modern world."

But there won't be a bevy of AutoTuned vocalizing on the project. "I don't know if we'd ever revisit that amount of singing," Yusef said.
