Ludacris' long-delayed album is supposed to be dropping this year, and the Atlanta hip hop star says that the project is a combination of many different facets of his life and personality. Luda claims that his upcoming album feature the classic elements of his music that fans expect, plus a look at how his global travels over the last couple of years have affected his perspective.

"Fast & Furious 6 [movie] is coming out this year and we're completely concentrating on the music right now, so, you know, it's all about Ludaversal album," Luda said in an interview with FUSE. "Ludaversal, the whole premise is welcome to my world. This is album number eight, so you know, it's about progression, it's about growth and you're just gonna get some real personal records on here. We're taking it back to the pure elements of what I do. I've been fortunate enough to travel all over the world over the past two years so it's that but it's also taking it back to the roots"
