MC Hammer was arrested in Dublin, California for obstructing an officer last month. Hammer said that the officer pulled a gun on him during a traffic stop and asked if he was on parole or probation. The veteran rap star explained via Twitter this weekend, however, that all charges against him have been dropped.

"Thank You to all my friends and supporters," he tweeted. "All CHARGES DECLINED. Dropped. Have A great Weekend."

Hammer has contended that the stop was a case of racial profiling; while the police have stated that he was arrested for being uncooperative. It is unclear if the rapper will pursue any legal action against the department.
