Q-Tip May Record With His Former Bandmates

Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi appeared last weekend as A Tribe Called Quest at South By South West in Austin, Texas. One of the festival's highlights was the group's showcase alongside musical legend, Prince. In an interview with Billboard, Q-Tip revealed that he would like to have his estranged bandmates on his upcoming album, The Last Zulu.

"Hopefully, Phife Dog and Ali Shaheed Muhammad will make an appearance on it, and Jarobi," Tip said. The album is slated to be released in 2014, the veteran rapper/producer's first album with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label.

"I'm gonna deejay with my partner [Ali Shaheed Muhammad] here, hopefully, if I can coerce him, 'cause he's doing joints over there in Brooklyn and I'm doing the city," Tip added. "So hopefully we can collide and do some stuff."
