Justin Bieber Extends Tour

It appears Usher's workhorse mentality has rubbed off on protégé Justin Bieber…and fortunately for Bieber, that's what keeps a teen idol employed post-puberty. After selling out 40 shows in his North American "My World" tour, the 16-year old singer announced he will add another 35 performances at venues both in the U.S. and Canada.

The tour piggybacks off his sophomore album, "My World 2.0" which spent weeks atop the Billboard 200 only to be knocked off by Usher's Raymond v Raymond release. Yet just two years in the business and Bieber has already propelled himself to the status of teen idol heavyweights like Menudo, New Edition and NKOTB while frenzied fans keep his name buzzing on the internet.

Promoters are capitalizing on Bieber's popularity offering various VIP packages for fans willing to shell out the extra dough for concert memorabilia.

Tickets go on sale Friday 6/11.
