Snoop's Clothing Line Folding

Snoop is discontinuing his clothing line, Rich & Infamous, after only two years. Snoop has closed the online store, website and will not service traditional retail outlets either. The line was expected to flourish when it debuted in 2008, but, in a case of unfortunate timing, the recession took it's toll on the fledgling company.

"The recession is affecting everybody," he told Hollyscoop.com in 2009. "We're trying to keep it one hundred percent and do what we're doing and try to keep the prices a little lower. [We're] trying to keep it cost sufficient for what [we're] doing."

Representatives didn't give any 'official' reason for the line's cancellation.

You wanna blame somebody for closing HBCUs, blame alumni. I know how it goes down.

Our HBCU's are closing at an alarming rate...before the "RECESSION". The African American community has been in a recession since Amistad.

This is no surprise. The Hip-Hop clothing line is so yesteryear. RL, Levis and AE have become the standard. I'm sure others will fold too.
