There were very few rappers hotter than DMX and Lil Kim in the late 90s. In 2010, the two revered rappers are both in the midst of comebacks and attempting to relaunch themselves in the public consciousness. They gave a strong reminder of what they used to be at a nightclub in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Kim was performing there as part of her nationwide tour, and the newly-released DMX joined the Queen Bee onstage for a rousing rendition of the LOX's 1998 hit "Money, Power, Respect." The song featured memorable verses from both X and Kim, and on this night, the 90s nostalgia was in full effect. X had just been released from prison on July 7th after serving six months in the Maricopa County Jail for violating the terms of his previous probation.
The crowd went nuts as a clearly-energized DMX bounded onstage for the first few bars of the song and he and Kim seemed to both be having a great time. Both rappers are rumored to be working on new material.
