NEWS UPDATE
After Ice-T was arrested in New York City early on July 20th and subsequently released following a traffic violation, the gangsta rap pioneer decided to use Twitter to air out his grievances with the NYPD and the media.
The rapper blasted the officer who detained him and even went so far as to post the police officer’s badge number. “Some punk b***h rookie cop named Fisher #10026 made the arrest of his bulls**t career today, arresting the Notorious Ice T for no seatbelt," Ice tweeted. There was apparently a heated exchange between the rapper/actor and the officer, with the cop saying, “I know who you are and I don't give a f**k,” according to Ice-T's tweets. “That was right after I called him a punk b***h.”
The rapper/actor was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license and without a seatbelt, according to TMZ. Ironically, Ice-T (Tracey Morrow) has been a regular on "Law & Order: SVU" for years, starring as NYPD detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola. Ice also blasted the media for running with the story. "The fact that it made national news in 10 min raises the question... How petty is our news today? What about the War and the Gulf?”
