Wesley Snipes Sentenced to 3 Years

Actor Wesley Snipes' appeal of a conviction on tax evasion charges was rejected on Friday, July 17th, which means the actor will serve 3 years in prison. In 2008, Snipes was found guilty of not filing tax returns from 1999 to 2001.

The United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit affirmed the original ruling and dismissed Snipes' claims that his punishment was too severe. It is unknown when the actor will turn himself in to begin his sentence.
