Baltimore, MD officials weren't feeling a recent performance from Washington, D.C. native Wale. The rapper was the headlining act at Artscape when he used profanity and racial slurs during a performance.
Tracy Baskerville of the Office of Promotion and the Arts, said that they were “deeply disturbed” by Wale’s language and apologized to anyone who may have been offended. This comes on the heels of the rapper's controversial appearance at a D.C. Black Pride LGBT event. Wale insisted there was a scheduling conflict, but after pressure, finally appeared at the show and insisted there was no ulterior motive for his initial refusal to show up for the performance.
