Rapper to Voice Radio Ads For Campaign 6:00AM ET July 23, 2010 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff A Rocky Williform Company
Run-D.M.C. legend DMC (Darryl McDaniels) has joined New York City's public awareness campaign for safe child care. The initiative was launched by Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration, and urges New Yorkers to think carefully about the caregivers they get for their children. The city has launched the campaign amid an alarming rise of child deaths at the hands of their caregivers. So far in 2010, nine children younger than 2 years old have been killed while in the care of their fathers, their mothers’ companions or a babysitter. Last year there were three such deaths.
DMC will be voicing radio ads for the campaign.
